Tour of Lomé

Departure from the hotel for Independence Place, the monument and its history. From there, on to the palace of King ADJALE, descendant of DJITRI, founder of the city of Lomé, to learn about the history of Lomé. Then on to the road to peace and the airport to admire the capital’s frescoes. This tour, guided by the designer of these marvels, takes you on a tour of his studio before returning to the hotel.

Tour of the Lake District

Departure from Lomé via the coastal road to Agbodrafo (Porto Seguro), a former slave trading post. Visit the slaves’ barracks (Maison Wood) and the neighboring fishing village. From here, stroll along Lac Togo to watch fishing demonstrations and enjoy a swim. Lunch at Hotel Le Lac. After lunch, off to Glidji temple in the Voodoo region. Meet and chat with the priests preserving the sacred forest. Continuation to Kluvidonou for a performance of the Zamgbéto (night watchman) dance. Stopover at the river mouth to admire the breathtaking spectacle of the sea meeting Lake Togo. Return to Lomé.

Tour of the Plateau region

Departure from Lomé at 8 a.m., with a first stop at Notsé to visit the relics of the kingdom, cradle of the Ewe people; another at Wahala (Chra) to relive the fighting between the Germans and the Franco-British during the First World War. These two stops, immersive in history, will end with lunch at a local restaurant. From there, it’s on to Témédja, 166 km from Lomé, to spend the night in a wildlife park. A cultural evening hosted by a local band during lunch.
Departure for the Aklowa waterfall after breakfast at 7:30 am. A two-hour drive takes us to the foot of the mountain in the village of Aklowa. A 45-minute walk along a steep path to discover Togo’s largest and most beautiful waterfall in all its splendour. On the menu: swimming, games, relaxation, an escapade through the woods followed by a picnic. Return at 4:30 p.m. for a two-hour drive to Témédja. A well-deserved rest will allow you to recuperate before dinner at 8pm.
Departure from Témédja for Lomé at 8 a.m., followed by a stopover in Kamina, a village a few kilometers to the east, to visit the ruins of the TSF station built by the Germans between 1905 and 1911 and unfortunately destroyed during the fighting in the First World War.
